It began as a normal lunch in an extraordinary environment. The seemingly computer-enhanced electric aqua of the ocean wedged in between a layer of powdered sugar sand and welkin sky. But it was windy. Then we see the cloud crawling over the sky. Then the rat-a-tat-tat of rain on the polythene sheets pulled down to protect us. Then, in a matter of minutes, it was over and the really scary thing happened: The centipede. Someone spotted something on one of the chairs and then wayyy too much commotion and everyone was up against the plastic windows looking out as one of the waiters beat something with a stick. It was a centipede. But not the small, almost cute, ones we get back home but a 10 inch sucker with legs like an alien and a body bright orange and fangs that... well, you get the picture. Mentioning this to a shopkeeper they sighed and said "Yeah, after the rain the centipedes and SCORPIONS like to come out" (!). Fun fun fun.

wind before rain
