immersed in the natural history of bermuda

This was odd. Normally, a trip to the aquarium means the kids are just eager to find their way quickly to either (a) the playground or (b) the cafe for ice cream.  I don't get mad about it.  I don't blame them.  They have seen it a billion times by now and heard every fact I know about the octopus.  But this time was different.  Something was up.  They actually spent a long time studying each exhibit (especially in the museum) as if they'd never seen it before.  The watched all the video presentations (some of them twice) and peered in all the drawers and looked at all the artefacts.  It was really cool.  And it made me do it too.  Did you know all the crows in Bermuda originate from a single breeding pair brought here in the late 19th century from Nova Scotia so all the crows an inbred Canadians?  Nope?  Me neither.  But I do now.
