I didn't think they would be up for it.  Nobody thought they would be up for it.  They were a bit tired and cranky in a napless way when I suggested the kids and I go for a ride in the kayak.  The very tippy kayak with a plexi glass bottom so you can see the sand and sea grass and the occasional giant star fish that seem to thrive in these waters.  We got them all in safely and paddled off into the distance in search of turtles and dolphins.  We didn't see any but Schuyler did get a kick out of the fact that her dad's seat snapped out of place several times and all in all they just seemed to dig paddling around the beautiful shoreline, taking in the vista of houses we will never be able to afford.
