We don't get invited to weddings much anymore. We've passed that late 20's/early 30's window where all our friends were getting married and (unfortunately) not many people have divorce parties so we don't get to celebrate any martial milestones much anymore. Fortunately, we have friends who are older and younger than us which I recommend. It means that you constantly see a bigger spectrum of life that you would otherwise and, in this case, it reminded us of how much fun you can have at a wedding. We got all dressed up in fancy clothes, made slightly awkward small talk with strangers, and bore witness to the wonderfully optimistic joys of a wedding. We danced (badly). Daddy embarrassed himself a little with some ill advised dancing choices and we got to celebrate Amanda and Zikomo's union. It was odd because we knew almost nobody at the wedding but it was also a fun, rare opportunity to just hang out as a couple. (THANKS, GRAMPS AND NAN!)
