This was probably not the way Jake wanted to spend his birthday. Then again, maybe it was. In any case, he was kind enough to spend it with us and the kids at the Echo Center, a kind of aquarium cum science museum for kids. The kids were presented with turtles, giant fish, ship wrecks, educational films, and a host of aquatic entertainment but the big draw for them was the miniature river simulation where they could actually get nice and wet. They also stayed surprisingly still during a lecture on dinosaur eggs. Thanks for spending your birthday with us, Jake!
