It's kind of amazing the places you can go to entertain yourself and a three and five year old.  There are lots of predictable options from museums to parks to aquariums to shopping malls but the least expected is the seat of government in Vermont.  It turns out a gigantic building open to the public with lots of priceless art and breakables is a perfect place for two kids to blow off some excess energy.  We spent the better part of an hour charging down hallways, poking in forbidden rooms, explaining what "roped off" rooms means, explaining what "that guard is armed" means, and taking freight elevators to unknown parts just to see if we can find out way back.  Congratulations, Vermonters, your tax dollars are being well spent!
