So we are humming along in the dinghy, soaking in the coastline when a grey flash catches our eye:  A pod of 5 or 6 dolphins right off the starboard bow.  Photographs always make things seem farther away than they were in reality so all I can do is tell you - these guys were right under us, paddling around the boat and then darting away.  It was one of those great moments we all need that just leave you in awe of the world.  The plugs of the modern world that keep us trained on a little glowing screen, also train us to forget that wet grass on bare feet, sunsets, clear jade water, and dolphins smack your soul on a level the little glowing screens will never muster.  I love the connectedness the online world gives me to my friends and family and entertainment but these existential experiences with the natural world replenish the soul and fill the heart with song.  We were so lucky.
