We decided to have a second kid because (a) we liked the first one and (b) we thought they could each have a playmate. Mostly, this seems to be working well and it is really heartwarming to see them interact. Most of the time it involves Schuyler telling Charlie what to do and dressing him up in all kinds of things and (a favourite) having Charlie be Schuyler's patient, but Charlie asserts himself too. Much of their playing appears to be an attempt to destroy the idea of the playroom by transporting all the toys from there into the living room - usually under the guise of a tea party and/or pretend daycare for their dolls (Charlie appears to be a pretty involved father).
