We were invited to an engagement party for Zikomo and Amanda... in Somerset. Now, for those of you that don't know where that is, join the club. For decades, I thought Somerset was a parish but it is actually the town in the far western reaches of the island and, generally speaking, if you live in one end of the island, you probably (sadly) don't make it to the other end very often (it's a whole hour's drive away!). There's something about this island that makes distance all relative. In London, I would commute an hour each way every day. I would travel an hour each way just to have dinner with a friend. But going to Somerset feels like I need my passport and traveller's cheques. But it was actually great. And who knew there were sheep in Bermuda?
