kids in the kitchen

So one of the reasons we had two kids was so that they would have each other. Not just for themselves. But for us. When we just had one, we had to constantly surveil the critter to ensure its minimal safety. With two, they are playmates. And combat opponents. But from our point of view, they are buddies in the sense of the buddy system. We can now let them clang around in their kitchen while we clang around in ours without constantly having "eyes on". This is what our life has become: We are now actually excited by this development.
