So we get to Oscar's birthday party which was a parent's dream in that it was a ditch-your-kids-there party. But she didn't want to stay. To be fair, she had fallen asleep with Charlie in the car at our house and then she woke up in a totally different location and was told to socialise alone - I'm not sure I would react well to that. But, as we knew she would, she revived and got her face painted, ate sugar disguised as food, and chased boys around BEUI. And Daddy stayed and had a good time with the adults.
