Carriage in the sky
So the Meet A Mum Association had a fair that was specifically geared toward under 5's which was pretty rare and pretty cool. This was the day after my exam (where I performed woefully on time and, as noted, likely failed - it's healthy, kids!) so I tried to give Mama the day off since she had spent several weekends On Duty. If only she had had a fair like this to go to. There were tracks set up for big wheels and toddler bikes, a story telling tent with songs, painting, and, as above, a miniature ferris wheel. Well, I didn't know if the kids would be into it or terrified but they gamely climbed aboard. Since it was all included in the entrance fee, you could stay on until you wanted to get off (which was psychologically interesting since one of the reasons we enjoy these things is because we know our time to enjoy it is limited). The kids stayed on for a good ten minutes. They Schuyler wanted out. But little Charlie stayed in his carriage with some stranger. Throughout the afternoon, they both returned over and over again to the big wheel in the sky. All in all, a great afternoon.
