the partying doesn't stop

It is party time this weekend.... But mainly for those under three feet tall. Today was Oscar's turn. You would think that gale force winds and a torrential deluge would be a party pooper but, if you are five years old or under, this kind of thing absolutely makes a party a PARTY! The kids raced around the verandas of Somersfield and generally spend as much time getting soaked as possible which ma them thrilled and made their parents a strange combination of annoyed and a little jealous. I watched them and there was a big part of me that just wanted to forget parenting for a second and sprint off into the monsoon with them. They looked so happy and unencumbered. If you could make a video game that made kids this happy, you would be a very, very rich person. Charlie made particularly strong strides in his eating today, devouring countless blueberries, melon, and anything in sight. Normally, the kid won't eat anything that wasn't produced in a factory so it as good to see him eat something real for a change.
