baby jail

Charlie's class photo.  We weren't going to do it.  We got the invitation in the mail for class photos and our response was "He's not even two!  We don't need a photo.  We have plenty (as this blog attests)."  But we're glad we did.  I love his pensive hand pose - not sure how they got him to do that!

For posterity, in the group photo are:
top row: Miss Tina, Mia (who likes you), Zachary, Milan, Denith (who was with you since you were four months' old at your old Baby Jail), Miss Shea
bottom row:  Charlie, Alyssa and Brandon (the latter two are twins)

waiting for the dancer

While Schuyler does her ballet class and Papa studies for that darn CFA exam, Charlie and Mama play in the playground outside the church hall.   For my siblings, this is the same church hall where we had Sunday School when we were about Schuyler's age.

crack of dawn

Ahh, Charlie... little boy, you have to work on this whole sleeping in thing!  We've finally got you sleeping through the night but you've got a rather unfriendly habit of waking up at 5:30am which is just about an hour earlier than our bodies want to wake up.  You're lucky you're still cute or I'm not sure how friendly we would be toward you at this hour.  Still, I like it in some ways.  It's the only time you and Daddy get to hang out one on one (until you wake up your sister).  You'll wander around collecting balls and bringing me my sweatshirt or other clothing, insisting strongly that I take it from you with a persistent "THANK YOU!" while I make you and your sister's lunches.   I'll miss these times in the future but for now, just take a sleep in every once in a while, kid!
