under where?

Most mornings Schuyler won't leave her room without a handful of "fresh underwear"...

bucket o' Schuyler

So... um... another typical evening for us... Schuyler empties the bucket full of doll stuff and replaces it with herself... and is obviously very pleased with the result.

for a change

Today I looked over at the changing table on the pack n play and was surprised to see Magic cuddled up. It was a nice leap from the couch over to the table but Magic likes to be comfortable and he loves anything that the kids use. At least I don't have to change his diaper!

family lunch friday

Posted by Picasa
We enjoyed/endured a lunch together on a weekday for a change. Charlie mostly behaved himself and Schuyler loved her "fizzy water". She gets a special treat of fizzy water sometimes...so far she actually thinks the club soda or Perrier is amazing. Wonder if she'll like Coke as much as her dad when she finally gets to try it (age 12?).

thanksgiving

We try to ensure that Schuyler's maternal cultural roots are a part of her life... This year, with the advent of Charlie, Thanksgiving dinner consisted of take out. Schuyler ate avidly for a good 45 seconds before demanding "something else". I like to think she realized the shame that her mother's ancestors would want to break apart The Empire and couldn't continue with the meal. To make her feel more at home, we made her crumpets and over boiled vegetables.

cup of tea?

Schuyler sure knows how to throw a tea party...even Magic got a cup.

Steve Jobs forgot one target audience when he launched the iPad.

tea party at pink beach

We try to take advantage of the fact that we have Kim and wardy baby here this autumn. One of our favorite activities is afternoon tea on a weekend. Fortunately, Schuyler makes herself useful by playing hostess with the cookies. Charlie is less useful at the moment but still pretty darn cute.

By the end of the party, Schuyler was both dressed and playing like Jane sans Tarzan.
Eli helps with a Charlie diaper change. For a nice change, Charlie decided to chill out for the whole party which was a nice relief for his dairy provider.
Charlie uses his dad as a bed.
